TREASURED DUCK UPDATE
These pictures don't show the "ducks", per se. These are some pictures of cormorants and egrets in the water in our backyard. Each of these pictures was taken last November or December. Many months before Hurricane Rita paid us a visit. So they don't really update the status of the treasured ducks in the aftermath of the storm.
But they're nice pictures, don't you think?

did the ducks leave? if so, did they come back?
Plenty of birds around out there. But it's been so bloomin' hot (around 100 degrees every day since Rita) that I haven't been looking closely to see what fowls are around. I didn't notice any ducks in particular when I was taking those pictures of the "devastation" in our yard.
