Duck, Duck ... Poultry

Are ducks poultry?

Some non-creative, brief googling produces mixed results. Some websites talk about "ducks and poultry", leading me to believe that the authors thereof would distinguish between ducks and poultry. And some websites flat out refer to ducks as poultry.

CONCLUSION:
Some breeds of duck are properly classified as poultry. Some breeds of duck are properly classified as waterfowl (and are not properly classified as poultry). The logical distinction appears to be whether a particular breed is domesticated.

BONUS COVERAGE:
The ducks pictured here are classified as poultry, according to this website. In other words, people farm them.

Incidentally, that picture was taken in my backyard. So yes, I treasure those ducks.

Do they make lots of noise quacking and sh-t? Do you feed them? Do your girls dig em? We had some when we had the lake house, and once you start feeding them it becomes an entitlement. They would amble up to our back windows and start pecking the glass and raising pure cain until we busted out the stale bread buffet. They also bite.

They're biters (guess the flick).

It doesn't matter whether they are ducks or poultry; they are foul creatures either way.

Ducks do bite. Ducks crap everywhere. Ducks are probably responsible for spreading the bird flu.

Except for the flamingo, I am not a fan of the bird.

Garrett...I need more URL help. I really need to add a link to a wav file to a post and I just can't figure it out.

Why would it be any different than any other link? Why?

Why do we need multiple words and classifications for ducks? Why?

P.S. I went to lunch with a group of Kutakians today. Slummin.
