On Curious Matters - Part 1
There's this guy that has this website where he posts scanned images of candy bars. I actually found it mildly interesting to browse. Anyway, while looking around on there, I began to wonder:
Why is Snickers plural and Butterfinger singular?

In my experience, Butterfingers can be painful.
It's singular - Butterfinger. This is my point.
M&Ms should be plural since there are many of them in the bag. But there is but one Butterfinger in the Butterfinger wrapper - it should be singular. Likewise there is but one candy bar inside the Snickers wrapper. Should we be expecting more - say a second Snicker inside that wrapper?
Garrett, I reccommend that you file a lawsuit immediately claiming that in each instance in which you purchased a Snickers, you are entitled to at least one more candy bar due to their misrepresentation.
Let me know how that works out.
I prefer Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...you know what you are getting with those.
Nougat.
Reese's is the perfect example of a candy that knows its grammar. I just pulled a one-cup Reese's out of my leftover Halloween stash. The label reports that inside is:
"Peanut Butter Cup"
in the singular.
Hats off to H.B. Reese Candy Co.
Incontrovertible evidence that the Internet is a force for good in modern society.
